Bestiary update!
What sort of attacks will we expect from the Trite Mother? Soon will be revealed. You can guess what happens when you kill one of these. This monster will be included in the 1st half of Doom X.

Ok I’ve gotten some msgs about the color aspect of the Trite Mother so I have changed it. Tell me what you guys think.

O_O Why so little amount of comments? That looks GREAT!!! I think that the one with the brown…eh…butt looks better,it color is more tritey. Both look very good tough. GJ!!!

Probably a matter of getting used to it. And I agree with Mr.Green. Mother looks now more tritey. There is something that bugs me thou… I see you gave the sprite a stronger contrast. The bright spot on its bubble part… Doesn’t it attract your attention on the shinning part more than on the rest of this creature? Makes kind of imbalance on the whole view. Too bright? Really not sure. Gonna look at it later and let you know.

Personally, I prefer the look of the original Trite Mother (the one from the video).
While the new one fits in better with the overall Doom aesthetic, the older version’s more desaturated colour palette felt more “realistic”/organic. The new version looks more cartoony.
Regarding the attacks, I agree with Nannak. Spawning Trites seems like a no-brainer to me, but I think that if that was the only attack it would make the Mother herself seem a little defenseless. If you can find a way to incorporate all three attacks – go for it. If two is the maximum, I’d say go for spawning and claws.
Keep up the good work dude! Can’t wait to see more!

This monster will be included in the 1st half of Doom X” – if you want Trite Mother to play a more important role in Doom X then probably 3 attacks so I won’t end up being a ground version of Pain Elemental. I agree with Urizen. Such a beast unable to fight back? It needs to be something more dangerous. But it isn’t all about attacks, a more complex AI or just higher walking speed would give it “a kick” too. About the looks – now I can tell that the second one is a bit better. At least for me.
I am really impressed with the speed of updates

I think it would be good that the Trite Mother can use it’s claws on melee,spits green goo and when it dies,it will spawn 1-3 Trites a.l.a Pain Elemental.

OK, the recolored Trite Mother looks like a mutant grapefruit.
