6.1.2011 Update
So I’m sure you guys have seen the video above showing off some goodies. One thing I’d like to point out is the new freeze gun. This weapon works wonders whenever I open up a door and monsters spill in. Did you notice the freeze death animation? I think it’s the coolest thing ever and it took me awhile to perfect it. With some help from the ZDOOM community I was able to pull off exactly what I wanted. Again my main focus at the time is the maps and I will get back to new monsters! I have a few drawn out, they just haven’t had the sprite treatment yet.
I remember about a year ago I got an e-mail from a guy who claimed to be very talented at decorate. I can’t remember your name or e-mail but contact me again. I’d like to make a Doom X version of cherubs but I’m not that good at decorate to do the coding. If you send me a fully functional one with dummy sprites, I’m down!
I know some of you are impatient but there has been lots of progression, especially with the weapons. At first I said I wasn’t going to add lots of weapons but I’ve changed my mind. The other weapon that I have dummy sprites for is another freeze type weapon that’s real sweet! For your patience I have a gift below. Have fun!

Uhm… There is a problem with their AI. They don’t come out of ther chambers
They seem to work well in other episodes.
Not fully understanding you. Are they stuck? I’d imagine they get stuck since they are big hehe. The best place to watch them is on level 8 in the Cyberdemon room. This is just a beta too so I knew there were gonna be some problems of them getting stuck. I think the same thing happened to the AOD.
Oh sorry for not being clear here. I meant that they were stuck in Phobos Anomaly

The Loper is awesome, but have you considered giving him a fleshier tone? I noticed the exploding imps and dark imps are both gray, and that’s great, but it just seems a little dull on this guy. Just sayin’… other than that, he’s great!

I agree too. I’ve heard this many times and I have made some changes to some characters from the critiques. For example the Trite Mother use to be gray and brown but now it’s red and brown. The Sinstress use to be black and blonde, now their skin tone is similar to the Succubus and their hair is blood. I’ve been thinking what I can do differently to the Loper for awhile and I think I’ve got the perfect idea. To be honest, I haven’t touched the loper sprites in a long ass time. I will go back to it and some spark into it.
I’d actually love to see both Loper touched up as people suggested and a Loper with full body carrying whatever epic weapon you might pick. That, IMO would be orgasmic !
I dunno Anonymous. That kind of defeats the purpose of what the Loper actually is. Plus, giving him legs and a gun would make him just another walking shooter–I don’t think replacing his current, very unique and creative method of combat with the standard cut-and-dry gunner template would be such a great thing.
I didn’t say replace, though.
i actually like the grey loper, i would prefer if some of the other monsters were changed, specifically the 2 imps, wich are both gray.
I downloaded that wad file, and I have Zdoom but I don’t know how to run it. I would really like to see this loper but all i can see is just a new menu screen graphic. please help
That’s my fault for not explaining the wad info. It was more of like a surprise wad with easter eggs in it. Best place to find them is on level 8 or do “idclev08″ and find the room with the Cyber Demon. You should get the idea of where to find them after that. The loper replaced two characters.

There’s always some easter eggs when it come’s to my stuff.
I’m really pumped for this. There aren’t to many wads that add new monsters, and there are even less that add ones that are original creations.

How is the work going?
Finished the special attacks on Death Dealer, second freeze gun is drawn and needs to be converted for doom and maps are progressing. I am taking a small break the next few weeks though because family is in town.
Is this the doomx that works on the xbox?
